It’s perfect for me when traveling – took it to a meeting last week, was able to slip it into an overnight bag, use it at the venue to keep up with email and play games on the train on the way home my friend just bought one (after seeing mine) to use when the home computer was being hogged by her offspring. a nice cheap way to web browse and check her email.

I have to confess that my own guilty secret is that it’s replaced the book at bedtime – I use iPlayer to catch up with missed programmes in bed – when MY offspring are hogging the TV and the computer (at least the Beeb now support Linux and Mac OS in streaming if not downloading). It’s also made me determined to try out a “bigger” version of Linux – looking for a laptop bargain to load up ubuntu. So it’s also, IMHO, a nice intro to Open Source… although word has it that later versions of the Eee will ship with Windoze
